Judging from the number of times the 2020 defeated flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Mahama, makes an appearance in court gives an insight that he has given up on his petition the National Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party has said.
Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye in an interview on the Wontumi Morning show described former President John Mahama as someone who has lost faith in his own case and for that reason ceased to appear in person anytime there is court sitting.
The NPP executive popularly known as Nana B explained that it is becoming evidently clearer that the petitioner has lost interest in the case he has sent to court.
“It is like Mahama has lost faith in his own case. He doesnt come to court. He rather sends Asiedu Nketia, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo to sit on his behalf. He knows the outcome of the case”, Nana B said.
Mahama is in court after he and his party –the National Democratic Congress– rejected the results of the 2020 presidential polls.
Mr. Mahama, the NDC’s presidential candidate in the 2020 polls, is of the view that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo failed to obtain the requisite number of votes to be declared the winner.
He is thus asking the Supreme Court to among other things declare the 2020 presidential polls nul and void and further order the Electoral Commission to conduct a re-run of the election between himself and President Akufo-Addo.
