John Mahama’s rented show host, Mugabe Maase, took listeners of his unpopular show aback on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, when he launched a scathing attack on owner of the Despite Group, Mr. Osei Kwame ‘Despite’ describing his media establishment and some of his workers as “fools”.
The uncouth journalist in an interview which was monitored by Wontumionline.com stated boldly that some journalists working at Peace FM did not have a mind of their own and were stooges of the Akufo-Addo led government.
In a threatening and unprofessional way, Mugabe Maase stated that most seasoned journalist with Peacefm and Peacefmonline.com were always being given direction from the Jubilee House and could not operate independently.
He warned the Director of Finance for the Despite Group, Fadda Dickson, to check his men or risk being attacked “spiritually or physically” by him (Mugabe).
According to him, Peacefmonline.com had published a false story that states that Mr. John Mahama was sharing money when he resumed his tour of the Bono Region.
“If you dare talk about John Mahama again, I will attack you spiritually or physically”, Mugabe Maase stated on his show which has very few listeners.
He used his platform to call on Sammy Gyamfi to stop NDC communicators from ever appearing on Peacefm’s flagship, Kokrooko.
“Peace FM recently issued an apology letter to us to come to your platform and you are insulting our flagbearer? Sammy Gyamfi don’t let any communicator appear on that show. This is your last time. Even my show has more views on Facebook than Kokrooko”, he said.
