Former President John Mahama used to be a “connection man” who dabbled in visa racketeering, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has revealed.
The tough speaking NPP Chairman in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, stated that a close friend of his once paid moneys former President Mahama to help secure visa to a foreign country but the move never materialized despite paying the amount the former president charged him.
“John Mahama was a connection man…I have friend and his name is Striker. He once gave money to him John Mahama to secure visa for him and take him outside Ghana and he didn’t do it after taking the money”, Chairman Wontumi revealed.
Ford bribe saga
Prior to the 2016 elections, there were allegations that former President John Dramani Mahama even received a Ford gift from a Burkinabe contractor, who was subsequently given a government contract.
