John Mahama Still Adamant To Otumfuo’s Advise- Former National GRASAG Organizer

A former National Organizer for Sovereignty of Graduate Students Association of Ghana, Kwasi Yamoah Abaidoo, says John Mahama is not showing any sign of complying with the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s advise that he “should correct his mistakes and clearly explain his vision to Ghanaians”.

According to him, John Mahama’s recent comments as far as the 2020 election campaign is concerned are clear indication that he has rejected the advise.

Speaking on ‘The Youth Stake flagship programme on the Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio and TV Saturday afternoon, he noted that John Mahama has recently said that, if the Electoral Commission (EC) doesn’t do it’s work well it would be hard for him to accept the outcome of the December polls.

“When Mahama says this it creates an impression that, if he loses the election he won’t accept it.” He told the host of the programme, Sammy Binfoh.

Mr. Abaidoo emphasized that, the Asantehene is very wise and sees from afar that is why he gave such advise to the former President.

Mr. Abaidoo said that, he[Otumfuo] showed love to John Mahama with that advise.

” Otumfuo gave same reception to both Akufo-Addo and John Mahama when each paid a courtesy call to him,”he affirmed.

The former GRASAG National Organizer indicated that, Otumfuo told Akufo-Addo that, his good works will lead him, “Should Akufo-Addo had faulted, Otumfuo would have voiced it out.”

He added, “if Otumfuo says your good works will lead you, that comment is very positive”

Mr. Abaidoo stressed that, Chiefs don’t wear any political jersey so if Asantehene says that, “Asanteman will remember your good works on December 7th” it means he has noticed the achievements of President Akufo-Addo and he is pleased with it.

“We are hopeful what Otumfuo has said will come to pass,” he said.
