John Mahama “Stabbing” NDC Supporters With Lies As Political Karma Catches Up With Him- Chairman Wontumi
The Press conference addressed by John Mahama on Thursday to announce his rejection of the outcome of the election was a cover up of the disgrace he has suffered following his defeat. He is selfish and greedy.” Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has said
He further stated that, John Mahama doesn’t think about the NDC supporters who have been traumatized.
Speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV‘s Morning Show on Friday morning, Chairman Wontumi affirmed that, the NDC leader is “stabbing” the party’s supporters with lies.
According to Chairman Wontumi, “Political Karma has caught up with the former President ”John Mahama”
“The leaders of the party are playing with the heart of the youth. They should tell them the truth regarding how they lost the elections.”
He told Oheneba Nana Asiedu that, in the 2008 and the 2012 elections, the NPP accepted defeat and went back to the drawing board to correct their mistakes.
“We all know what happened in the 2012 elections and how we lost the race.” He said
The NPP Chairman noted that, though the votes difference between Nana Akufo-Addo and John Mahama was close it doesn’t guarantee the NDC flag bearer victory in the election.
“The vote difference that gave the NPP an advantage over its main opponent, the NDC, is like adding the total votes secured in both the Volta and Oti Regions which are the NDC’s strongholds .” He said
On John Mahama’s threat that the NDC will take legitimate steps to reverse what he called the “travesty of justice” The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP recalled that, prior to the election, John Mahama had boasted that, he will not accept the outcome of the election.
He affirmed that, the NPP would not need Lawyers to defend the election results in court.
He insinuated that, the party can hire him (Chairman Wontumi) to defend the results adding that the election was science and data in nature, besides every party had an agent at the polling stations.
“NDC should show maturity. If they go to court it won’t wash.” He said
