The money former President John Dramani Mahama keeps at home is bigger than the $1million that was stolen from the home of former Minister for Sanitation and Water Resource, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, lawyer Maurice Ampaw has said.
The seasoned lawyer stated on Wontumi TV that it was hypocritical for Mr. Mahama to speak on the matter and mock the minister despite keeping several millions at home.
“President Mahama spends $1million in a day”, lawyer Maurice Ampaw asserted whilst revisiting some of the scandals that rocked the government of John Mahama.
According to him, Victoria Hannah a former deputy minister under former President Mahama confessed of having the desire to use her position to make $1million.
Lawyer Ampaw challenged former President Mahama to account for the moneys he spent on groups such as ‘Boys for Mahama and Girls for Mahama’ before the 2016 elections.
“Boys for Mahama and Girls for Mahama, where was the money coming from? You stayed in power and spent money without taking it to the bank”, he said.
