A respected Muslim leader and an executive of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Kofi Owusu Omar, has revealed that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),believes in “juju” more than the power of Allah.
In an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, the GCPP leader stated that former John Mahama refused to personally submit his nomination forms at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission because he has been instructed by his jujumen that if he does that he would lose the 2020 elections.
Unfortunately for him Mr. Mahama, Chairman Kofi Owusu Omar explains that juju has no place in politics and the good people of Ghana would vote for a performing government rather than allow juju to dictate for them.
According to him, the leader of NDC should have personally submitted his forms and cut short his tour just like he did with his Bono regional tour to address a press conference in Accra.
“John Mahama believes in juju more than anything. When he was in Bono region, he left his tour and came to Accra to address a press conference. Your own nomination forms you couldn’t submit it in person. This time round, juju doesn’t work in politics. People know what is on the ground. People know he has failed them woefully”, Chairman Omar stated on the show.
Former President John Mahama cut short his tour of the Bono Region on Tuesday, 22 September 2020 and announced that he took the decision due to several complaints with regards to anomalies in the ongoing voter exhibition exercise.
