Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has sparked controversy with his latest comments, describing Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as a “Political comedian”.
Speaking on the Wontumi TV Morning Show in Kumasi, Chairman Wontumi claimed that the NDC and its flagbearer, John Mahama, have reduced Professor Opoku-Agyemang to a mere joke, using her to peddle falsehoods and propaganda.
“Mahama and the NDC have made Naana a laughing stock,” Chairman Wontumi said. “She’s been turned into a political comedian, telling jokes and making ridiculous claims, just look at her mouth when she was telling Ghanaians they brought Free SHS. An old lady don’t lie like this”
Chairman Wontumi stated that “Naana is a highly respected intellectual in her days at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) but couldn’t hold her pedigree and integrity when she join John Mahama and the NDC.”
