Former President John Mahama, had to send a delegation to negotiate with the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako before stepping foot in Ashanti region, the latter has revealed.
This sort of negotiation took place when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in power, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi revealed on the Wontumi Morning Show.
The NPP Chairman made this revelation to send a strong signal to NDC hoodlums who his intelligence has picked up they want to harm him.
“When John Mahama was President, he used to send people to negotiate with me before he (Mahama) stepped foot in Ashanti region…today he is in opposition and I am in power, he is joking, they are joking if they think they can kill me? They know me very well”, Chairman Wontumi said as a word of caution to the NDC.
Chairman Wontumi compared himself to the biblical David who became a man after Gods’ own heart stating that he gets his strength and power from the same Being.
He stated that just as David had been in deep forest taking care of his fathers’ flock, he (Wontumi) has also been in the deep forest before mining under adverse conditions.
Speaking directly to Mr. John Mahama, Chairman Wontumi stated that “when you were in power and had the National Security on your side, I didn’t even fear you. You jailed me, I still didn’t fear you. I have been in the bush before and stayed there with difficulties and you want to put fear me? I have stayed with snakes, ants that can kill a man and without light and you want to threaten me?”
