JJ Doesn’t Want NDC To Play Any Role In His Funeral- Konadu’s Secretary Reveals

Notice has been served to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stay away from the funeral arrangements of their founder, the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.

The warning came from a close aide of Mrs. Rawlings, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong who also serves as the General Secretary for the National Democratic Party (NDP).

According to him, the late Rawlings detested the current leaders of the NDC and even scolded them when he was alive for turning a solemn ceremony of his late mother in a party activity.

According to Alhaji Frimpong, the current leaders of the NDC maligned their founder when he was alive and therefore have no right to talk about playing a role in his funeral arrangements.

“You want a party funeral so that you can benefit politically”, Alhaji Frimpong hit at the NDC.

He rhetorically asked if the NDC believes that the late former President Rawlings would have loved for them to play a role in his funeral.
