JB Danquah Inspired Me To Win Elections But Nkrumah Inspired You To “Scam” People With His Name- Wontumi Answers Kwesi Pratt

A staunch follower of Chairman Wontumi, Boy Shako has advised Mr. Kwesi Pratt to put an immediate stop to using the name of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to “scam” people in the name of preaching pan Africanism.

The Managing Editor for the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has become a permanent ‘political beggar’, who uses the name of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to take funds for his personal consumption instead of supporting the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Boy Shako has said.

Boy Shako was reacting to comments by Mr. Kwesi Pratt that there is no need for Ghanaians to recognize JB Danquah as a founding father of Ghana.

Mr. Pratt is said to have made the distasteful comment on his television station- Pan African Television whilst discussing the Founders’ Day celebration.

“This Danquah thing, only people who don’t know our history can be pushing Danquah as a national hero. Do you know Danquah’s true position in the UGCC? Danquah was the Eastern Regional Chairman of the UGCC…so, if you are looking for the equivalent of Danquah in modern politics today, it is Wontumi”.

“The level that Daquah attained in the UGCC has been attained by Wontumi in the NPP. He was a regional Chairman”, he said to mock a man who supported Dr. Nkrumah before Ghana gained independence.

Responding to the remarks by Mr. Kwesi Pratt, Boy Shako stated that the story of JB Danquah has inspired Chairman Wontumi to work harder and ensure his legacy- which is the NPP, remains a vibrant political party in Ghana.

Boy Shako however wondered what the legacy of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has done for Mr. Kwesi Pratt aside from him metamorphosing into a “political beggar”.

“Kwesi Pratt speaks to fill his belly; he is always travelling to communist countries begging for money in the name of Kwame Nkrumah. He will collect the money but return home and contribute nothing or disclose to the CPP how much he has used Nkrumah’s name to cash in”, Boy Shako said.
