Isaac Nii Adotey Pappoe, better known by his stage name Kay Smooth in Ghana has revealed that he has been in the industry for two decades but he is yet to hit the mainstream.
Apparently, the singer used to be in the same group as the late Dancehall act Terry Bonchaka back in the late 1990s. Popular on-air personality Amansan Krakye recently asked him whether he wasn’t disheartened by his lack of success in the music industry.
“Well, I always believe that time and season is a factor and there are things that God has arranged and you can never change it,” he responded.
Everyone has got their time so you would have to keep working and the right time that God has for you, once it’s your time it’ll be fulfilled.
So, for me coming all the way from when I started over 20 years ago till this stage, it’s been a real experience and sometimes that’s what you go through when God wants to put you somewhere higher.”
“God takes you through the process to really build yourself before you blow and I believe in that and so it doesn’t discourage me in any way but it’s a learning process for me,” he concluded in a recent interview conducted on Kastle FM.
