It’s Too Late For John Mahama To Withdraw The Petition- Richard Boadu Taunts
Mr. Richard Boadu, Ashanti Regional Communications Director for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has indicated that, former President John Mahama wants to withdraw his election petition from the Supreme Court but it’s too late.
He noted that, nobody can manipulate the apex Court.
Speaking on the Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio/ TV, Mr. Boadu affirmed that there are a lot of activities going on in the petition hearing that are disgracing the NDC woefully.
According to him, the Supreme Court has noticed that, there is no weight in the petition so there is no need for Jean Mensah to testify.
“The NDC is using Afari Gyan’s incident as an example. In the 2013 election petition, Dr. Bawumia testified but John Mahama who made his supporters believed he won the election don’t want to follow suit,” he said.
He said, “if you want justice, you must be fair.
He stressed that John Mahama and his NDC supporters have noticed that, they don’t have a strong case.
Taking a swipe at Simon Awini Ayamga, the KNUST student who threatened to burn down the Supreme Court if Jean Mensah fail to testify, Mr. Boadu fumed that, “democracy does not mean you should talk in a lackadaisical manner.”
He chastised that, the KNUST Emergency Nursing Student has no capacity to burn down the apex Court.
Mr. Boadu advised that, everybody must be cautious with his utterances as far as the election petition hearing is concerned.
