A member of the New Patriotic Party’s Communication team, Mr. Daniel Teiko, has questioned the analogy given by the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress which led to their decision to reshuffle its leadership in Parliament.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the NDC’s Chairman, has said the party’s campaign message ahead of the 2024 elections will be heavy on the economy, hence the decision to reshuffle its leadership in Parliament.
According to him, the know-how of the new leadership will best to propagate the message of the party.
But Mr. Daniel Teiko refuted the claims by the NDC Chairman stating that his explanation assigned to the exercise was an afterthought which came about after seeing how bad the decision is.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, the NPP man stated that if the next election was going to be based economic issues as stated by Asiedu Nketia, then the NDC should seriously consider the background of Mr. John Mahama who is not an economist.
The NDC in a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin dated, Monday, January 23, 2023, stated that it had decided to replace Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Other changes include Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembelle who has been brought in to replace Ketu North MP, James Klutse Avedzi as the Deputy Minority Leader while Kwame Governs Agbodza has also replaced Asawase MP, Muntaka Mubarak as the Minority Chief Whip.
Ahmed Ibrahim and Comfort Doyoe-Ghansah were, however, maintained in their positions as First and Second deputy Whips respectively.
