Dr. Ayew Afriyie is accusing former President John Mahama of sponsoring his followers to attack the Asanteman buses that accompanied Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in Techiman.
The Asantehene was in Techiman and Nkoranza to pay his last respect to Nkoranzahemaa Nana Adutwumwaa Dudaa Kani II.
Reacting to news of attack on the buses which followed the Asantehene, Dr. Ayew Afriyie, revealed that investigations has shown that the people who carried out the despicable act, were all members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The Member of Parliament for Effiduase/Asokore Constituency who was speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, stated that “they brought NDC boys to shoot and throw stones at Asanteman buses.”
After conducting an investigation into the matter, he concluded that they were told those who did that were all NDC members
“The Techiman boys said the people who did that were all NDC boys”, he said.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie blamed former President John Mahama for spurring his people to attack Asanteman.
“He can’t talk to his boys to stop attacking the Asantehene”, he said.
