Infrastructural Debate: The Records Are There For Ghanaians To See- Akufo-Addo Punches Mahama
His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has reverted John Mahama’s call for the debate on infrastructural projects saying that there is no need because the records are there for Ghanaians to see.
The Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama on his four-day tour of the Volta Region on 20th August 2020, challenged President Akufo-Addo to a debate on the records of their respective governments in the area of infrastructure.
Mr Mahama’s challenge came days after Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia said the Akufo-Addo government has constructed more infrastructural projects (17,000) in less than four years than the NDC had managed in eight years.
Speaking on Sand City Radio at Keta on his tour to the Volta Region and monitored by Wontumionline.com, the first gentleman of the country stressed that every project the ruling NPP claim to have done can be identified.
According to Akufo-Addo, the 2020 elections will be unique and distinguished from the previous elections because it would be record based.
“The elections would be based on performance of both the NPP and the NDC,” he explained.
“Ghanaians will scrutinize the performance of NPP and NDC and decide the one to manage it.” He said.
Nana Akufo-Addo confirmed that the COVID-19 has landed the economy in bad state but the government is doing its best to restore the economy.
President Akufo-Addo is however hopeful that, Ghanaians will say “yes! 4 more 4 Nana come December 7”
