Incompetent Mahama Went To IMF For Bailout – Napo

Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has vehemently defended why former President Mahama will not be given a second chance by Ghanaians to ascend the the high office of the land.

According to him, Mahama’s incompetence reached a crescendo when he wrote to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for an economic bailout.

“When in office, Mr Mahama destroyed the local economy and run to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout,” Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh told Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Election 2020 on Wontumi TV/Radio in Kumasi.

He said the economic programmes and interventions by President Akufo-Addo have extensively contributed to the current economic growth appreciated by the Global Community.

Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh said the Nana Addo led NPP administration has restored confidence in the economy which guarantees that the targets can be met.

“We have come far as a country on a more serious note, building a strong economic base to fund all that we are doing,” Napo added.

“If you have somebody who during his period run down the Ghanaian economy, went to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout and as a result could not employ young people when they were graduating from school.

“You recall the graduate unemployment associations that were formed. You recall the cancellation of allowances because of economic crisis and the argument that even if they will vote against us they should vote against us.

“And today this person comes back and says that he is going to create one million jobs. Does it sound to anybody like a credible promise?” Napo quizzed.
