I’m Thankful To Prez Akufo-Addo For My Appointment- Chairman Asare Bediako

Chairman Asare Bediako, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Asokwa says he is grateful to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing him to the board of the Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited (GHEL).

Speaking to this reporter Thursday morning, Chairman Bediako said he is elated that the first gentleman finds him worthy to contribute to the shaping of the outfit under the Trade and Industry Ministry.

The former Chairman also extended gratitude to the Trade Minister, Hon Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen for supporting his nomination and appointment.

Chairman Bediako pledged his commitment to working with other members of the board in putting the GHEL in a position of relevance.

‘’I thank the President for the honor bestowed on me and I count it as a way to help serve Ghana as I also express my appreciation to the Trade Minister for supporting my nomination and appointment’’, Chairman Bediako stated.

On the appointment letter signed by the Trade Minister to Chairman Bediako and chanced upon by your authoritative newspaper the details read; ‘’ I am pleased to inform you that His Excellency the President has appointed you as a Member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited (GHEL).

The Terms and Conditions of the appointment shall be made available to you on your assumption of duty.

Kindly indicate your acceptance of the appointment.

Please kindly accept my congratulations on your appointment’’.

ACCEPTANCE:

Meanwhile, Chairman Asare Bediako in accepting the appointment in a letter to the President stated that he would bring his expertise in dealing in heavy equipment to bear on GHEL.

This expertise, the veteran politician and heavy equipment dealer, as well as transporter, noted spans over a decade and a half.

He promised to work together with other members of the board who he believes would possess similar competencies to uplift the image of GHEL.

This opportunity to be on the board, Chairman Bediako stated, is presented to him and others to contribute their quota in building a thriving economy and society for Ghanaians.

‘’I am convinced that just as I am determined to do my best as a member of the board in shaping GHEL, others on the board would help in the same way for us to have a vibrant outfit under the Trade Ministry’’, Chairman Bediako posited.
