I’ll Be Taking NPP To Next Level — Asabee Promises
New Patriotic Party (NPP) national chairman hopeful, Stephen Asamoah Boateng says he will be taking the party to the next level when elected as leader in next year’s internal elections.
Speaking to journalists at Wednesday’s Ashanti Regional Conference held at the ancient Ashanti town of Ejisu, Mr Boateng said the time has come for a person in his shape to take over the mantle of leadership and use good influence to shape things of the party from now and beyond the 2024 elections.
Popularly called Asabee, the former Information Minister in Kufuor’s government now heads the State Interests and Government Authority (SIGA) as Director-General.
Mr Boateng said the time has come to position and present the party in a form and shape that will be more appealing to the youth as well as all ages within the population of Ghana.
‘’I represent energy, dynamism and proper communication in our party and with these traits I am very sure as Chairman I will be able to lead this party to the next level where we will win power and consolidate the gains we have made in developing Ghana into a transformed economy’’, Mr Boateng posited.
COMMENDATION:
The SIGA Boss noted that the current national executives as well as regional executives have done a good job retaining power for the NPP after ensuring it wrestled power from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2016.
This feat, he noted must not be downplayed but added that more effort is expended to consolidate the gains of the party as it prepares to prosecute another election in 2024.
He applauded the Ashanti Regional executives for putting up a good conference and urged that internal party matters are handled with openness and in a brotherly atmosphere since they would be dealing with issues as members of the same family.
He rallied the rank of file of the party in the region to continue with the grass-root work which he intimated had won power for the NPP in all elections it had emerged victorious.
‘’Let us work as never before by engaging ourselves in grass-root work and by visiting every area within our localities so that together we sell the party’s agenda and propagate the work of our government’, the SIGA boss passionately stressed.
