If you do not register to vote on December 7, NDC will decide for you – MD, State Housing

Managing director of State Housing, Nana Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, has admonished persons who are 18 years and above to partake in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

He is of the conviction that, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), will mobilise people to vote in the coming elections, in order to secure victory.

Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on 13th May, 2024, Mr. Appiah highlighted the relevance of exercising one’s franchise.

“If you do not partake in the limited voter registration exercise, to enable you to vote in the general elections, the NDC will vote on your behalf. They will mobilise their people to vote so they can decide for you.

Also, if they take over and there is a mismanagement of the economy, you cannot have a say, because you didn’t exercise your right. This is Mahama’s last term. If he decides to give all sectors to his relatives, just as he handed over our minerals to one person in 2016, you cannot complain.

However, the only way to thwart this from happening is for you to vote” he explained.

He further opined that, the former president, John Dramani Mahama will worsen the nation’s woes if he is elected into power.

“Mahama believes that Ghanaians have forgotten what transpired under his tenure, hence, his return is to exacerbate our condition. Let us not allow him by partaking in the exercise” he added.

The registration began on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

It is has been scheduled to end on May 27, 2024.
