If Bawumia Had Joined NDC, His Star Wouldn’t Shine- Respected Lecturer
Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey

A respected lecturer, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey has said the star of vice President Mahamudu Bawumia would have become dime and died out if he had joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He stated that it was God’s plan for the sitting vice President to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because he knew where his star would shine.

“I know the NDC are biting their finger for not having him but it is, his destiny and star that he didn’t join the NDC because God knows if he joined them, he wouldn’t have been shinning”, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey said on the Wontumi Morning Show.

He rubbished reports and misinformation that it was the NDC that facilitated the employment of Mahamudu Bawumia at Bank of Ghana (BoG).

Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey explained that Dr. Bawumia personally applied to work at BoG and even with his qualification that exceeded expectation, he was only given the position of deputy manager when the NDC was in power.

“In humility, he accepted the position given to him at BoG, he came to serve his country and that was his motivation”, he said.

Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey maintained that “if you understand the concept of destiny, it tells you- his father Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia advised him to focus even though people came to him to go and lobby for deputy Governor position for his son”.

He was quick to add that “God knew if he had joined the NDC he wouldn’t have been a shining star like he is in the NPP”.

As at the same time Dr. Bawumia joined BoG as deputy manager, Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey noted that the position of deputy Governor of BoG was available and despite qualifying for it, the position wasn’t given to him.
