If 4 Years Is Not Enough For Any President, Why Are You Contesting Akufo-Addo? – Chairman Wontumi To Mahama

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has chided former President Mahama for his quest to lead the nation again while failing woefully in his administration.

According to him, Ghanaians are interested in President Akufo-Addo’s vision to lead Ghana to the promised land and not the one who could not manage common guinea fowl.

Speaking on Wontumi TV/Radio Monday morning, Chairman Wontumi as he’s popularly known could not fathom why Mr Mahama destroyed the economy and still needs a comeback saying,”If 4 years is not enough for any President, as said by Mahama, why is he contesting Akufo-Addo in his first term?

He stressed that all these are clear indications that Mahama has nothing to offer Ghanaians.

Mr Antwi Boasiako reiterated that Nana Addo’s infrastructural projects are just enough to propel him to his second term adding that if you consolidate the gains of Akufo-Addo, he will certainly do more for the country.

Background

President John Mahama in 2016 promised an unassailable level of development in the country if given another term.

He told chiefs and people of Elubo in the Western Region his track record of achievement in the first four years has been impregnable and needed another term to finish the good works he has started.

Four years is not enough for any president, he stated, adding, the framers of the constitution were well aware of that and therefore gave an option for a second term for sitting presidents.

He said on the evidence of the things his government has done in the first four years, a second term is a matter of necessity.
