President Akufo-Addo has boldly declared that his government, won’t shield any individual connected to the death of Ghanaian investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale.
According to the President, it remains a matter of great regret to him that the murder of Ahmed Suale has still not been resolved.
But he was quick to add that his government has no “interest covering up whatever or whoever” might be involved in the case.
President Akufo-Addo who made this call at the University of Cape Coast remarked that his government had no role to play in the death of the journalist.
He maintained that he believes it is in the interest of the state, people of Ghana and in the interest of government that journalists, go about their work safely.
He promised that whoever played a role in the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale would be dealt with by law noting that “in the end, his murderer would be caught, trialed and punished”.
