The vice president and presidential candidate for the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said that his government will make strides to prioritise “the year of return ” which is celebrated in December in Ghana.
In his speech delivered on Wednesday, 7th February, 2024, at Accra(UPSA) he stressed that this measure will make tourism and the creative arts industry lucrative.
“We will build on the year of return, beyond the return, December in Ghana. We will introduce initiatives such as digital and streaming platforms for our artistes to make tourism and the creative arts a growth pole in Ghana ” Dr Bawumia stated.
He further mentioned that another way to boost tourism is to implement an e- visa for all international visitors to Ghana to facilitate seamless process of visas and to check criminal activities.
