The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has reacted to an image which captures Kofi Boakye standing by Mr. John Mahama and Asiedu Nketia on a campaign platform.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that the viral picture of the retired commissioner of police, gives credence to his claims that Kofi Boakye was appointed to work for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region.
Chairman Wontumi in an interview with Wontumionline.com stated that he suffered series of persecutions from Kofi Boakye when he was the Ashanti regional police commander because of the “NDC blood that runs through him”.
“He treated me badly and I ended up at the hospital”, Chairman Wontumi recalled as he talked about how Kofi Boakye operated as a ‘political’ police officer.
“Kofi Boakye is a polling agent for the NDC and specifically John Mahama. I spotted his NDC allegiance long time ago but he wanted to absorb himself and present himself like a professional. He was never a professional, he was a political agent of the NDC in a police uniform”, Chairman Wontumi said.
