An astute member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II has delivered his verdict on self-acclaimed radio journalist, Captain Smart, declaring him a “mad man”.
In an interview on Wontumi TV’s Nsempa Fie Show, the NPP stated that anytime Captain Smart attempts to express his view on radio, he ends up displaying his stupidity rather than educating the masses.
“As a journalist he has to investigate. He wants to portray the stupidity in him. The minister has to deal with him for him to learn sense”, Oteatuoso said .
His comments stems from an insult Captain Smart hurled at the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko, after the latter established that Josephine Mensah, the supposedly kidnapped Takoradi woman was not pregnant in the first place.
Captain Smart on the Thursday, September 22, 2021, edition of his show held back no punch as he slammed the minister for doubting the woman’s story.
But it has now come out that Captain Smart did no investigation and spoke without facts after ACP Kwesi Ofori of the Ghana Police Service told media men that in the presence of her mother and husband, Josephine Mensah disclosed that she has misled everyone connected the issue.
