Yaw Berk is a young Ghanaian artiste who broke away from the Highly Spiritual Records about two years ago and is praying to God to convince producer and record CEO Kaywa to take him back.
According to the “Independent Lady” hitmaker, he is looking forward to seeing Kaywa recall him back to the record label because he feels sorry for acting immaturely in the past.
Speaking on Citi TV, Yaw Berk said although he really wants to apologize to Kaywa, he does not know the way to go about it. Therefore, he is not going to release any new songs until he finds favour in Kaywa’s eyes.
“I just want to free myself. From 2019 to 2020 till now I’ve always wanted to apologise [to Kaywa] but the ways and means to go about it that was difficult he was angry [I don’t know if he’s still angry with me] and I didn’t know any means to go through to him,” he said.
Yaw Berk also added that he has been advised by his spiritual father to seek and make peace with Kaywa or else his music career will not see any success.
Yaw Berk after he left the record label two years ago following a rift with Kaywa has come out to apologize for acting irresponsibly. Although Kaywa has accepted his apologies, he has said he is not ready to bring him back on the label.
“I respect his opinion because based on what happened, nobody will take it lightly. If it had happened to me, I wouldn’t take it lightly so I don’t have any comment on that. I just pray God gives Kaywa a change of mind and heart,” he noted.
Yaw Berk is now signed onto the Inna Height Record label but believes returning to the Highly Spiritual Record label will send his career to the higher level.
