Sixteen (16) Acres of land solely acquired by the CEO of the Dabo Soccer academy, Yaw Dabo, a popular entertainer now turned an entrepreneur in exploiting the economic potential in soccer is being developed to serve as the next home for the celebrity’s famous Soccer Academy.
This was disclosed by Mr Dabo who spoke in an exclusive interview with Wontumi TV after providing colourful video images of the ongoing project.
He said the management of his company has so far invested over GC200,000.00 (2billion old Ghana Cedis) in developing the facility at Nyinahin which on competition will be the first of its kind in the country to hunt for talented young footballers .
He noted that it is his dream to house over 70 Ghanaian talented players from the on set who will eventually, grow up to lift the image of the Black Stars.
Mr Dabo called on Government and other stakeholders like contractors who own earth moving equipment or cement manufacturers to support his efforts and ambition of unearthing young talented footballers in the country whose long term is to boost the national economy.
Again, he appealed to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to invest in the facilities to boost the attraction of football in the country, adding that, “when we invest in them, they’ll become the likes or Messi, Ronaldo, Kudus and all the top players whose faces are familiar on television screens”
The CEO of Dabo Soccer Academy entreated Ghanaians especially, those in Kumasi to throw their maximum support for the Black Stars as they take on Central Africa Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 7 in Kumasi.
