A founding father of the New Patriotic Party’s USA and Austria branch, Mr. Kyei Baffour has cast doubt over the ability of Ato Forson to read and understand content of international news on Ghana’s economy.
Ato Forson, the Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam constituency and a former Deputy Minister of Finance was recently in the news claiming that the unbridled borrowing of the Akufo-Addo-led government, if not checked, will lead Ghana to rejoin the heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC).
But responding to his claims, Mr. Kyei Baffour stated on Wontumi TV that it was under the leadership of Ato Forson as deputy finance minister that Ghana was led to IMF.
“You were in charge but the IMF program made you look incompetent because you had to take directive from them before your government could act”, Mr. Kyei Baffour reminded the NDC MP.
He continued that the mismanagement of Ato Forson and the NDC government forced doctors in Ghana to embark on a nationwide strike- a situation which is unprecedented.
Mr. Kyei Baffour therefore advised Ato Forson to visit investment promotion centers to learn about economic issues if he has a deficit on the topic.
