I challenge Mahama to bring out a single district hospital he completed apart from Dodowa hospital – David Boakye

The Bono regional secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), David Boakye has challenged the former president, John Dramani Mahama to point out district hospitals he ever completed, except the Dodowa hospital.

According to him, the current NPP government has touched on forty-eight projects abandoned by previous governments, since Acheampong’s administration till date.

Speaking with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi TV, on 27th March, 2024, he emphatically stated that, John Mahama commissioned just Dodowa district hospital.

“Mahama established only one district hospital which is at Dodowa. He never completed Kumawu, Fomena, Abetifi and some other hospitals captured in his green book. He completed polyclinics not hospitals” he said.

In addition, he commended president Akufo-Addo for prioritising the health system, contributing enormously to ensuring quality healthcare delivery in the nation.

“It was Akufo-Addo who took it upon himself to complete these reference hospitals. Fomena and Kumawu district hospitals have been completed but yet to be commissioned ” Mr Boakye mentioned.
