1986 World Dance Champion Adjetey Sowah has revealed that he built his first mansion at the age of 19 years with money made from dancing.

The Ghanaian dance icon disclosed that he started making money from his talent at a tender age while still in school.

He told Giovani on the 3FM Drive that he made close to 900 pounds from performing at nightclubs abroad every weekend. In Ghana, Adjetey Sowah made close to 3000 cedis, he added.

“I perform from Thursday to Sunday and receive 900 pounds a week,” he said.

Taking us down memory lane, Adjetey Sowah narrated that he used to flip the wall every evening to perform at nightclubs around his school.

“In Ghana, I used to perform at about 10 clubs in a night.”

His action, according to him, became so much that his teachers advised him to leave the boarding house and become a day student to save himself from expulsion.

Adjetey Sowah also divulged that he is the first dancer from Ghana to ever sell out a stadium with a dance show.
