The ongoing marital tensions between Bishop Daniel Obinim and his wife, gospel musician Florence Obinim, appear to be deepening, with the singer hinting at her readiness to walk away from the marriage if necessary.
Speaking in an interview with GhPage on YouTube on June 16, 2026, Florence Obinim said she has remained a humble and patient wife over the years, but feels her efforts have not been appreciated by her husband, founder of the International God’s Way Church.
She made it clear that if her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim, wants a divorce, she would not oppose it, as she is also ready for it.
“I have been humble and patient with Bishop, yet he still does not appreciate the kind of woman I am. May God’s will be done. If he is ready for a divorce, then I am ready too,” Florence stated.
Florence explained that about a month ago, she had a conversation with her husband about the length of their marriage and her conduct throughout it.
According to her, she reminded her husband of her humility and calm nature, but also noted that she could not be pushed beyond her limits or expected to meet demands that could cost her her life.
She added that she does not fully understand what more her husband expects of her at this stage of the marriage.
She further indicated that there are certain aspects of Bishop Obinim’s life that, if she were to speak about them openly, would not be pleasant.
“If I choose to speak about certain things that concern me about Bishop’s life, it would not be pleasant. There are things I am entitled to that would give me peace of mind, but if I am denied them, I simply stay quiet. If I need to buy or rent them myself, I go ahead and do so,” she noted.
Florence also appealed for prayers for her husband, calling on Bishop Obinim’s junior pastors and others within his circle to intercede, adding that the situation within the marriage is becoming increasingly concerning.
