I Am Not Happy Akufo-Addo Has Employed More Youth- John Mahama’s Speech Highlighted (VIDEO)

For people who didn’t pay attention or listen to the speech by former President John Mahama when spoke at ‘Building the Ghana We Want’ forum, there was a part where he expressed anger over the decision of the Akufo-Addo led government to create and employ more people into the government sector.

Mr. David Boakye, the Bono East Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), brought to fore the chilling statement by former President John Mahama when he dissected his speech on Wontumi TV.

He made a statement that the government has employed too many people. I don’t know if you have taken that part of his statement into consideration?… When I saw it, I read that part several times. We complain there are no jobs and we have a government that is bold to employ the youth. But as we are giving the youth hope, the solution the former President has is that our currency has lost value because government has employed more people”, he said.

Page two of John Mahama’s address reads: the wage bill has gone up due to unbridle recruitments into all sectors of the public service resulting from poor capacity of the private sector to mop up the teeming youth graduating from all levels of our educational system.
