Hopeson Adorye Responds To AG: I Never Stole Furniture From Airport Lounge

Former Airport security director, Hopeson Adorye has responded to a report from the Auditor General (AG) that he stole sets of furniture from the airport lounge before he exited the place.

Speaking on Wontumi TV, the ardent member of the New Patriotic Party vehemently denied stealing the furniture valued at GHC25,000 by the AG.

He alleged that persons who don’t side with him politically are people behind the current indictment.

“Even the chair the President sits on, how much is that one valued”, he rhetorically asked on the show whilst addressing the issue.

According to him, he has sent a response to the Chief Director and knows the auditors would be called to give a proper explanation to the “liar” they are placing on him.

Mr. Adorye, who represented the NPP as the 2020 Parliamentary candidate for Kpone Katamanso, stated that it took his personally initiative to transform the airport VIP lounge by placing several requests to individuals and companies to elevate the place.

He named Togbe Afede XIV, Access Bank, MTN and an oil company as people and companies that transformed the place to its current standard.
