Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak continue their hunt for MTN FA Cup trophy as they contest for a place in the final with tie against Medeama SC on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The Phobians advanced to the semi-finals after beating Elmina Sharks 1-0 at the Ndoum Sports Stadium in the quarter-final clash. Defender Caleb Amankwah scored a cracking finish from 23 yards in the 109th minute to seal the spot for the Phobians.
Meanwhile Medeama reached the semi-finals following a 3-2 extra-time win over lower-tier side Attram de Visser at the Akoon Park. Attacker Prince Opoku Agyemang scored, what has been described by the losing club as a contested penalty, to give the Mauve and Yellows victory.
This becomes the third time Medeama and Hearts meet in the 2020/21 season after they clashed twice in the Ghana Premier League which either side won in their home games.
Hearts of Oak, record winners of the FA Cup, have targeted annexing the trophy to win a double for the season and extend their FA Cup titles to 11.
Defender Caleb Amankwah, who won the MVP in the game against Elmina Sharks, has revealed Hearst are focused on winning every title available to the club.
