‘Have Faith, Chelsea Will Win 3-0’ – Todd Boehly Sends Fans A Message

Chelsea co-controlling owner Todd Boehly has predicted that his side will beat Real Madrid 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in their Champions League clash tonight.

The 49-year-old also said he is excited about the club’s future despite a poor campaign under his stewardship.

The European competition is Chelsea’s only chance of winning a trophy this year.

The Blues have had a disappointing season despite shelling out over £600 million to sign players.

Ahead of the game at the Santiago Bernabeu, Boehly was still maintaining positivity.

He said (via Football Daily): “Chelsea is going to win.” When quizzed about the scoreline, he added ‘3-0’.

The American businessman is in his first year as the club owner, and it has not been smooth sailing.

He dismissed Thomas Tuchel as manager after disagreeing on sporting decisions.

Boehly paid a record sum to take Graham Potter from Brighton & Hove Albion. The Englishman failed to galvanise the expensively assembled squad into a winning team.

Potter was dismissed after seven months in charge despite being handed a five-year contract when he was appointed.

Many people expected Chelsea to hire a new permanent manager to salvage their season, but they re-hired Frank Lampard to take charge until the end of the campaign.

The former Chelsea midfielder will lead the Blues out against Real Madrid tonight. He debuted with a listless 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Despite Chelsea’s poor campaign, Boehly said he is excited about the club’s future. He added that they view things long-term and believe everything will come together.

The Premier League outfit can salvage something from this season when they take on Los Blancos.

They are eleventh in the league and out of the two English domestic cups.

If they can progress to the semi-finals, beating the reigning and 14-time Champions League winners, it will be a famous result to quell a torrid first season under Boehly.
