After downplaying the seriousness of COVID-19, the founder and leader of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has been taken to intensive care for contracting the virus.
It would be recalled that Hassan Ayariga made mockery of President Akufo-Addo’s decision to get vaccinated describing the jab he received as malaria vaccine and not a COVID-19 jab.
But the deputy minister for Finance, John Kumah in an interview on Wontumi TV revealed that he has picked up information that Hassan Ayariga is battling the virus and things have gotten worse as he has been moved into intensive care of an unnamed hospital.
He used the platform to advise Ghanaians to get vaccinated and not to ignore the safety protocols associated with COVID-19.
John Kumah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Ejisu stated that the surge in COVID-19 cases is as a result of the insubordination shown by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Ghanaians shouldn’t listen to the NDC. They are rubbishing the existence of the virus. They are the reason some people are not obeying the covid protocols”, John Kumah said.
