The Member of Parliament for Tamale South Constituency in the Northern Region, Hon Haruna Iddrisu, has lost his biological mother in the early hours of Tuesday, December, 17, 2024.
Sources closer to the former Minority Leader’s family said, the deceased, Hajia Mariama Alidu, passed away while on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
The source said the deceased was unwell and was thereby admitted for medical attention days before the just ended December 7, 2024, general elections.
Our source says the mortal remains of the late Hajia Mariama would be taken back to Tamale for burial in line with Islamic tradition.
According to our source, the late Hajia Mariama is aged over 90years.
