The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party who is also the ‘Governor’ of Ashanti, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has warned members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that he would prevent them from voting if they intend to create confusion in his region.
Serving this warning on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako stated that “if NDC people mess up, they won’t vote here”.
According to him, together with his team, he has put in place measures to prevent the NDC from “fooling” in the region he is regarded as the Governor.
“This year’s election would be one of the peaceful one we have had in Ghana. The security forces are ready to deal with elements who want to cause trouble. Ashanti region is a kingdom; here we have our gold, King, Asante Kotoko and the Governor who happens to be me. You can’t come here and mess up here”, he warned.
