Government To Pay Salary To Tollbooth Operators- John Boadu Reiterates
The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu has reiterated that Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs) who are currently out of jobs due to the toll boot situation will still receive a salary.
John Boadu repeated this at a Press Conference in Kumasi captured by wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw on Thursday to defend the 2022 budget.
He said the toll boot operators will continue to receive their salaries while they are being retooled and trained for jobs in other fields.
John Boadu indicated that the government has identified over 200 of the operators who will continue to receive the salary.
The NPP General Secretary, however, stressed that the 2022 budget which was presented to Parliament by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta is very luscious.
He said that the NPP is very good at governing and it’s incomparable.
“Our achievements in the last five years are unprecedented and there is the need to remember the people on the achievements,” he said.
John Boadu indicated that the government’s flagship programs like the Free SHS, 1D1F, NABCO, PFJ, 1V1D, et al are still operational.
