District Chief Executive Officer for Kumwawu Constituency, Hon. Samuel Addai Agyekum has flatly rubbished claims that the government is fixing the poor roads in the area because of the demise of the late lawmaker, Philip Basoah.
According to Hon Addai Agyekum, the late Philip Basoah in a recorded tape said that the contractor will be on-site to fix the roads by April 2023.
He said, Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah and MP Effiduase/Asokore Constituency Hon. Nana Ayew Afriye also in a recorded take said that the contractor will be on-site by April 2023.
He revealed that the contract was given to Joshob Construction Limited before the death of Philip Basoah.
According to the Kumawu DCE, the timeframe for the contract is seventeen months.
He affirmed that the NPP is ready for the by-election slated for 23rd May 2023.
