Government Not Happy With Opposition Covid – 19 Propaganda – Oppong Nkrumah
Government has expressed concern about the bastardization of the fight against the plaguing corona virus by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking at a press briefing in Kumasi Tuesday morning, Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah noted that despite efforts to scale down the pandemic, the NDC continue to play down the importance of the measures put in place by government.
He said governance is not about propaganda but good governance which eluded the NDC era and for that matter the NDC has never been appreciative of the government’s intervention.
Hon Oppong Nkrumah emphasized that notwithstanding, government will not be derailed by the bad tactics of the opposition
.According to him, government is much concerned about the health and life of Ghanaians hence the regular updates by the professional bodies which in no doubt has necessitated preventive etiquette.
The Information Minister reiterated that the social interventions put in place by the Nana Addo led NPP government in this Covid – 19 pandemic.
“Let me take this opportunity to commend all Ghanaians for adhering to the preventive campaign measures which has reduced Ghana’s case.Our health professionals have also done well in the fight and also need commendation,” he noted.
Hon Oppong Nkrumah urged Ghanaians to continue with the adherence of the Covid -19 preventive measures in order to be safe.
