Government Is Committed To Create More Jobs- Hon Simon Osei Mensah
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah has reiterated government’s commitment to creating more jobs for jobless Ghanaians.
According to Hon. Simon Mensah, this is being done with the private sector seen as the engine of growth.
The Ashanti Regional Minister was speaking at the 2-day Job, Career and Entrepreneurship Fair in Kumasi organized by the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) which was monitored by Wontumionline’s Nana Owusu Achiaw.
He explained that jobs have been one of the socio-economic challenges in Ghana.
According to him, since Akufo-Addo assumed office as President, most of his policies are focused on job creation and job opportunities for the youth.
Hon. Simon Osei Mensah stressed that President Akufo-Addo is trying to change the mindset of Ghanaians that it’s the responsibility of the government to only provide jobs.
He said the prosperous people are mostly private entrepreneurs.
The Regional Minister expressed the hope that the youth seeking jobs at the fair will not go empty-handed.
He advised them not to think of only the salary they will earn but think of being entrepreneurs.
