God won’t forgive Miners if they vote against NPP – Former Manhyia North MP

Collins Owusu Amankwa, the former Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, has disclosed that it will be ungrateful on the part of miners and mining communities in Ghana if they don’t vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

This declaration underscores his conviction that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government under President Akufo-Addo has done more for the miners.

“NPP have defended responsible mining over the years, it’s true the land and resources belongs to us and we have every right to mine them but we are against illegal means and ways of mining especially on the river bodies. With all due respect and in humility, Please my brothers in mining, if you vote against the NPP then God will not forgive you because we have suffered in defending mining activities in Ghana, the only thing we want from you is to help us protect our water bodies. It’ll not be fair you punish us by voting against us because the government want to protect our rivers.”

Mr Amankwa who was speaking on wontumi Tv, said the NPP had displayed an overwhelming proof that it was the Party for legal mining and ready to protect our environment. According to the former MP, miners had no excuse, but to come out in their numbers on December 7, to vote for the NPP.

He has accused the NDC of being “desperate for power” hence their attempt to “cause tensions”, lie during campaign ahead of the 2024 elections.

He emphasized that developed countries can count their success on policies by given a party with good programmes of transformation a long period of time to rule.
