Give Charles Opoku Another Opportunity To Strengthen His Political Influence – Prof. Smart Sarpong

Prof. Smart Sarpong Rightly Predicted Adwoa Safo Will Lose Dome-Kwabenya Seat

Director of Research and Innovation at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Prof. Smart Sarpong has said that the results from the Assin North by-election which took place on Tuesday, June 27 and was won by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has nothing to do with the candidature of the NPP parliamentary candidate, Mr Charles Opoku.
Speaking on the Wontumi Privileged Morning show, hosted by Oheneba Nana Aseidu, Prof. Sarpong commended the NPP candidate for the impact he made within a relative short period to campaign and familiarize himself with the terrain despite his absence for a while.

“For my part, Charles has performed better within few months of , campaigning he was able to gather an appreciable number of votes so if you want to measure Charles political value appropriately, then give him another opportunity or let him stay this in the constituency and build a stronger relationship with the constituents”

He stated that the just ended by-elections could not be compared to the 2024 general elections, because the by-election was a smart game and if the NPP wants to break the 8 they can do it very easy just as the NDC.
“Every day I say to myself that the opportunity to win the 2024 election exists for both the NDC and NPP – it’s a 50-50 chance, but all depends on which of the two parties would play a smarter game but not with macho mento intimidate the voter.” He emphasized.
