Gideon Mensah Poised To Help New Side
Ghana defender Gideon Mensah has expressed his readiness to help his new side Vitória reach greater heights.
To him, he posses great talent and flair, and has promised to bring his expertise to bare on the left part of the field.
The Black Stars defender, who describes the move as important said in an interview “I am very happy to have signed for Vitória. I am very focused on the goals that the team has set for this season and very eager to help.”
He said constant check on Vitória’s philosophy from fellow Ghanaian, Abdul Mumin, now a team mate prepared him before joining the team, and admitted that is helping him adjust at a very fast pace.
“This is an excellent opportunity to continue growing. Mumin is very happy and for me that was very important, it made me even more motivated to come.
“I am a player who does all the positions on the left side, I am very offensive and I know that, in the defensive moment, it cannot be easy to go past me. I am defensively combative, but I like to serge forward when the need arises,” he added.
The left winger will be at the service of the Victorian emblem until the end of this season, leaving the Guimarães club with an option to buy the Ghanaian international for 2.2m Euros.
