The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, is calling on former first lady Lordina Mahama to urgently use part of the ‘fat’ allowance she collected from the state to assist her former school, Ghana Secondary School (GHANASCO).
According to the NPP Chairman, part of the “illegal” allowance Lordina Mahama has chosen to keep could be used to set up another dormitory for GHANASCO. if
Former president John Dramani Mahama has commented on the on-going issue of toilet facilities purportedly turned into dormitories for students of GHANASCO in Tamale.
For Mahama, the issue has come up because of lack of infrastructure brought on by the refusal of government to complete educational projects started under his administration.
But Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi asked the former President to shut up and do a research on the massive infrastructure the government of President Akufo-Addo has built for various Senior High Schools including GHANASCO.
Chairman Wontumi further threw a challenge to Mr. Mahama by asking him to produce any developmental project his government did for GHANASCO aside digging a borehole for them.
“Lordina Mahama is a past student of GHANASCO and it is a shame she hasn’t done anything for them. She couldn’t even convince her husband who was President of Ghana for 6 years to do anything for her alma mater. The only thing they (Mahamas) did for GHANASCO was to dig a borehole”, Chairman Wontumi said.
