Ghana’s Group Opponent Croatia Announce 26-Man Squad For 2026 World Cup

Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup opponents, Croatia, have officially announced their squad for the upcoming tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The global showpiece will feature an expanded format of 48 nations, with Ghana securing one of Africa’s nine automatic qualification slots.

The West African powerhouse has been drawn in Group L alongside European giants England, 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia, and Panama.

Ghana will begin their campaign against Panama before facing England, with their final group match set to be against Croatia.

As preparations intensify ahead of the tournament, Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has named a strong 26-man squad expected to compete for honours next month.

Croatia has become the first team in Group L to unveil its tournament squad, with former Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder Luka Modrić headlining the selection.

Other notable players included are Ivan Perišić, Andrej Kramarić, Ante Budimir, Marco Pašalić, Mario Pašalić, and Manchester City defender Joško Gvardiol.

With Croatia setting the pace by releasing its squad, Ghana, England, and Panama are expected to announce theirs in the coming days as anticipation builds for the tournament.
