Ghana Move Up In Latest FIFA Rankings
Ghana have moved to the 25th position in the latest edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released on Thursday.
The Black Stars, who finished second at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations moved up by 12 places to break into the top 30. Ghana now have 864 points from their previous 714 points.
The Black Stars are now third on the continental table and behind champions Ivory Coast, who are in second. Algeria are still in the lead.
The top ten remains unchanged with Germany in the lead followed by Argentina and Colombia.
African sides have made progress in the latest rankings with 12 teams in the top 50. UEFA has 28, a fall of two. CONMEBOL (6), CONCACAF (3), AFC (1) and the OFC (0).
