Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso delighted to reach Chinese Super League final with Jiangsu Suning

Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is excited as Jiangsu Suning reached the finals of the Chinese Super League with victory over giants Shanghai SIPG.

Wakaso lasted only 46 minutes of their second leg clash at the Suzhou Stadium as Jiangsu Suning recovered from a goal down to beat Shanghai SIPG to set up a clash with Guanzhou Evergrande.

“To final,” he posted immediately after the game.

Shanghai SIPG took an early lead through Yang Siyuan before Wu Xi leveled with 12 minutes remaining.

The game was forced to extra time after the first leg ended by the same scoreline.

Luo Jing snatched an extra-time winner for the visitors after scoring in the 107th minute.

Wakaso has been a key member of the Jiangsu based side after joining in January from Spanish side Deportivo Alaves.

He has featured in all their games since arriving in China in June.

Jiangsu Suning will face Guanzhou Evergrande in the finals of the Chinese Super League.
